Access to Work

JARC was a federal transit program that addressed the needs of welfare and low-income individuals and assisted them in maintaining their employment by ensuring transportation to work. People who were employed and met federal low-to-moderate income guidelines were eligible for half price monthly bus passes. The JARC program expired.
COLTS is currently working on restructuring this program.
In the meantime, COLTS encourages employers to assist their employees in getting to work. Employers can subsidize half the cost of a monthly bus pass ($30) and the employee can pay the balance ($30) for the total of $60.
