New Route Serving South Scranton in Effect

Students who live in South Scranton will attend West Scranton High School (instead of Scranton High School) beginning today (Tuesday, Sept. 7).

In an effort to ensure students can make the transition as easily as possible, COLTS is beginning a new route open to the public that will serve South Scranton and part of West Scranton. It will service both West Scranton High School and Scranton High School in the morning, and West Scranton High School in the afternoon.

Scranton High School students can take the #43 Viewmont/Bangor in the afternoon to get to the Lackawanna Transit Center.

The Scranton School District is offering monthly passes to students who live two or more miles from their high schools. Students can check at the main office of either school to see if they qualify. The map and schedule are below, and we have more information on the High School section of our web site.
