Let’s ride safely together!

COLTS has taken extraordinary measures to keep our passengers and employees safe since the onset of COVID-19.

The following measures are in place:

Face coverings will remain required on COLTS vehicles and property until AT LEAST Jan. 18, 2022.

The Federal Transit Administration, or FTA, extended its mandate for face masks to that date on April 30, and then again to Sept. 13. The extension for masks is now at least until Jan. 18, 2022.

As a recipient of federal funding, COLTS must comply with this federal mandate. Even though the mask mandate is lifted in the Commonwealth as of June 28, the mask mandate on all public transit and in transportation hubs such as the Lackawanna Transit Center, will remain in effect as per the federal government.  Masks are required for everyone, even passengers and drivers who are fully vaccinated. COLTS thanks you in advance for your cooperation!

Buses and vans are ‘fogged’ every evening with a strong disinfectant that kills the COVID virus.

High touch areas on vehicles and at the Transit Center are sanitized multiple time each day by a maintenance employee stationed at the LTC.

Drivers wear masks and are provided with cleaning supplies for their vehicles.

High touch areas at COLTS’ administrative offices are disinfected daily.

We ask that employees and passengers follow all CDC guidelines, including hand washing, social distancing, and staying home if you are experiencing any symptoms.
