Executive Director

Bob Fiume

Bob Fiume is the Executive Director of the County of Lackawanna Transit System, or COLTS. He has served in this capacity since June 2008.

Mr. Fiume was re-elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association (PPTA) in June 2021. He previously served as chair from April 2015 through April 2018, and as vice-chair from April 2018 to May 4, 2020. He served as chair from May 2020 through June 2021. Mr. Fiume has been a member of the PPTA Board since 2008.

In August 2020, Mr. Fiume was one of only three transit directors from across America asked to serve as panelists in a national roundtable discussing the impacts of COVID-19 on public transit. The virtual conference was hosted by the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), of which COLTS is a member.

In October 2020, Mr. Fiume was elected to a three-year term as the Pennsylvania Delegate for CTAA, which represents small and medium sized transit agencies.

Prior to COLTS, Mr. Fiume served as Executive Director of Hazleton Public Transit for eight and a half years. Mr. Fiume serves as the vice chair of the Coordinating Committee of the Lackawanna-Luzerne Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Mr. Fiume has served on the board of the State Association For Transportation Insurance (SAFTI) since 2013, as well as the Risk Management Committee for SAFTI. He serves on the Small Operations Committee, Legislative Committee, and Marketing & Public Information Task Force for the American Public Transportation Association. He has also served on special task forces and projects in the transportation industry, including several through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) that included a committee on procurement procedure best practices.
